[ How to Minimize your s40 mobile phone aplications ]


Good news for all nokia s40 v5 and 6th users. Yup! we can now minimize java applications or send them to background. And can almost run 5 applications at the same time

PROCEDURE:

1] Open the jar application with WinRAR via PC


2] Goto META-INF >> MANIFEST.MF

3] Edit MANIFEST.MF using notepad and add followings lines.

Nokia-MIDlet-auto-start: no
Nokia-MIDlet-no-exit: true

4] Save it and drop in the same folder That's it. Now whenever you press red button on your phone instead of closing the application goes to background.

Here is the alternate process:

1-Download JAF on pc.

2-Connect your Phone with pc in PC-Suite Mode.

3-Open JAF and go to BB5 Tab.

4-Tick the following.
   a-Read pp.
    b-Normal Mode.
     c-CRT 308(Already Ticked).

5-Now Click Service.

6-Save the *.pp file on Desktop.

7-Open the *.pp file in Notepad.

8-In case the Phone is-
   a-Nokia s40 v3 then Search for 28 1 line and change it to 28 2
     b-Nokia s40 v5 or v6 then Search for 48 and change it to 48 2
       c-In case there is no 48 or 28 then add the Appropriate line i.e 48 2 or 282.

9-Save the *.pp

10-Open JAF>BB5 Tab.

11-Tick the following:
     a-Upload pp
       b-Normal Modec CRT-308 (Already Ticked)

12-Click on Service.

13-Select the *.pp File.

14-After it shows Done, Select Normal Mode from the Drop Down Menu.

15-Phone will Restart and show Test in RNDIS USB mode? Press NO. This popup will be shown on every restart this is normal..
Now we have successfully disabled the Nokia Security wall.

Edit Java Application.
Steps
     1-Copy the Java(.jar) application to the computer.
     2-Open the *.jar file with WinRAR.
     3-Browse to Meta-Inf Folder and Open it.
     4-Open the Manifest.MF file in Notepad.
     5-At the end of the codes add this line Nokia-MIDlet-no-exit: true
     6-Save the notepad file.
     7-Click on Yes when WinRAR asks to Update the Archive.
     8-Copy the *.jar file to Nokia.

To Minimize the Application Open the application and press the Red button once.To Restore the Application Go to the folder where the application is and then press on the application once.

GSM Network Codes 
The GSM standard allows most of the functions to be controlled by entering codes into the keypad of a mobile phone: you can set diverts and the like, accept or reject calls, or even change your PIN code by typing at the keypad. Unfortunately, not all the codes listed here are enabled by every network. If a code isn't supported, it simply won't work: you won't break anything by trying to use it!

[Grameenphone Internet Pakages]

Grameenphone offers the most affordable internet packages for handset browsing. You can easily connect to internet by availing any of the internet packages offered by Grameenphone.

  • Minipack Pay Per Use (Max BDT 20/day) is for only prepaid subscribers where Internet usage is chargeable at BDT 0.02/KB up to a maximum of BDT 20/Day, between 12am-11.59pm daily. Fair Usage Policy is applicable after crossing 10 MB usage for that day. Type P1 and send to 5000 to activate this Package or Dial *111*6# and follow the instructions. NO NOTIFICATION will be given in case of crossing 10MB usage. To check usage type info and send to 5000 or Dial *577*5#.
    * Fair Usage Policy is applicable.
  • Package 1 (P1) is a pay-as-you-go offer which is applicable for Post Paid subscribers only. For every kilobyte (KB) of data browsed, subscribers are charged BDT 0.02(excluding VAT). Type P1 and send to 5000 to activate this Package or Dial *111*6# and follow the instructions.

  • Package 2 (P2): Unlimited* browsing with 30 days validity, monthly charge is BDT 850 (excluding VAT).
    To subscribe to Package 2 (P2), type P2 and SMS to 5000. Available for both prepaid and postpaid subscribers.
    Prepaid: When a subscriber activates EDGE P2, the auto-renewal feature becomes active by default. But for successful execution, subscriber needs to have sufficient balance (BDT 850+VAT) in his/her account. If the subscriber does not have sufficient balance, then EDGE P2 will be deactivated (applicable for prepaid)  and the subscriber has to activate P2 again to use it after recharging. If any subscriber is reluctant to have this "Auto-Renewal" feature, he/she can Type 'OFF' and send SMS to 5000. If he/she wants to resume the service, then he/she has to type 'ON' and send SMS to 5000.
    Postpaid:When a subscriber activates EDGE P2, the auto-renewal feature becomes active by default. But subscriber cannot deactivate or reactivate this "Auto-Renewal" feature on his own.

  • Package 3 (P3): is for unlimited night time browsing with 30 days validity, monthly charge is BDT 250+VAT. To subscribe to Package 3 (P3), type P3 and send SMS to 5000. This package is available for both prepaid and postpaid subscribers. With this package, subscribers can enjoy unlimited internet from 12:00AM to 10:00AM. From day time, i.e. 10:01AM to 11:59PM using P3, browsing charge will be pay-as-you-go tariff of BDT 0.02/KB as per actual usage. Minipack Pay Per Use (Max 20 Taka) offer is not applicable for P3 subscribers. After the 30th day, if the subscriber has sufficient cash balance , EDGE P3 will be renewed automatically . If the subscriber does not have sufficient balance, P3 will be deactivated (applicable for prepaid) and the subscriber has to activate P3 again to use it after recharging. To stop auto renewal, send SMS Off to 5000.

  • Package 4 (P4) is for prepaid subscribers only. Subscribers can enjoy the service from 12:00AM to 11:59PM (within a day) with 150MB data usage limit in a day and daily charge is BDT 60+VAT. From 12:00 AM of the next day, EDGE P4 will be deactivated and the subscriber needs to activate any other package if he/she wants to use Internet.. To subscribe to Package 4 (P4), type P4 and send SMS to 5000.

  • Package 5 (P5) is an internet offer of 3 GB per month @ BDT 700+VAT. The package has a validity of 30 days (from the date of activation). EDGE P5 will be auto renewed only if sufficient Cash Balance remains within subscriber’s Account. Auto-renewal feature will  be   set as default for any subscriber who activates EDGE P5 .If subscriber doesn’t want to Auto-Renew EDGE P6, then Type “OFF” and send to 5000. If sufficient Cash Balance is not available during auto-renewal then EDGE P5 will be discontinued. After recharging with sufficient balance, the subscriber has to activate P6 again. To subscribe to Package 5 (P5), type P5 and send SMS to 5000. This package is available for both prepaid and postpaid subscribers. No NOTIFICATION will be given in case of volume expiration. To check Usage, type info and send SMS to 5000 or just Dial *566*10#. A prepaid subscriber can repurchase P5 within the validity period and the remaining data volume is carried forward with the new P5 data volume.
  • Package 6 (P6) is an internet offer of 1 GB per month @ BDT 300+VAT. The package has a validity period of 30 days from the date of activation. After expiration of 1 GB, subscriber will be charged as BDT 0.0002/KB without VAT. After expiration of 30 days validity, EDGE P6 will be auto renewed only if sufficient Cash Balance remains within subscriber’s Account. Auto-renewal feature will  be   set as default for any subscriber who activates EDGE P6 .If subscriber doesn’t want to Auto-Renew EDGE P6, then Type “OFF” and send to 5000. If sufficient Cash Balance is not available during auto-renewal then EDGE P6 will be discontinued. After recharging with sufficient balance, the subscriber has to activate P6 again. If the subscriber does not have sufficient balance, Minipack 15MB will be deactivated and the subscriber has to activate Minipack 15MB again to use it after recharging. To stop auto renewal, send SMS Off to 5000. To subscribe to Minipack 15MB, type P7 and send SMS to 5000 or Dial *111*6# and follow the instructions. NO NOTIFICATION will be given in case of volume expiration. To check usage type info and send SMS to 5000 or dial *566*1#.

*If your package finish. Then it will automatically renew that package(with your remaining balance). 
*If your balance is insufficient then your internet will disconnect.

[How to see Local Languages(BANGLA,HINDI) in any java enabled mobile]

বাংলা

Today i saw one of my friend asking for English instead of Bangle status message on Facebook. Like those friends i am also didn't know that, how to see Bangla in my phone. Because it is not supported by default. After that,  One month ago i found a tips about "How to see Bangla  in my mobile". Let's see how to do it....



  1. At first we must have Opera mini installed on mobile. If u don't have this, then Download the appropriate version from here>>'Opera Mini'
  2. Now open your Opera Mini, and press # and 1 or go to address bar(see on the picture1)
  3. Then remove that www. and type about:config and press go(enter),
  4. Now you will find a Power user setting page, 
  5. Scroll down to the end of  that page, you will find "User bitmap fonts for complex scripts" change this setting to YES  and save it.(see picture2)
  6. Ohh hooo!!! You have done it :) 
Now you can freely enjoy Bangla or any other local languages(bangla,hindi,tamil,chinese,etc.), it won't be boxed no more.. Opera will show that language in front of u. You can see like this. But one thing:- it will increase your data usage. So think it and do it.
